Our Featured Pets
"Big Red" Dowling Big Red goes for a mile walk (3 times around the block) without a leash every day with his owner Bob Dowling in Ellenville, NY. Big Red is a 6 year old domestic long hair cat.
"Maggie" Wright "Maggie" Wright is a two year old female yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie). She lives with her mom Terri, dad Ace, and big brother "Duke", the 3-legged spaniel. Maggie's hobbies include chasing cats, sleeping in mom's chair, barking at anything that moves, and walking on her hind legs like a circus dog (for a cookie, of course.)
"Abigail" Slegona "Abigail" Slegona is a six year old female Shih Tzu. She lives with mom Eunice, sister Sarah, brothers James and AJ, and kitty "Guiness." Abigail's favorite toy is a bouncing doll. She enjoys chasing the cat but dislikes going to the groomer.
"Taz" Futrell "Taz" Futrell was discovered in downtown Newburgh by a friend while on a delivery route. It was a cold November morning and he was drinking out of a tire. He was about six weeks old and had been abandoned. The Futrells adopted him and he's been a loved member of the family ever since. He's a great watch dog and enjoys games of "stick", tug-of-war, ball, and frisbee. He lives with his mom and dad, 2-legged brothers Zachary, Konnor, and Kyle and a 4-legged sister, Abigail the Mastiff.
"Noli" Miller Noli is an eight month old Pomeranian. She is an outgoing puppy and very well behaved after graduating from puppy and intermediate classes at Petsmart. She enjoys eating peanut butter out of her Kong toy and helping out in the yard by digging and chasing dandelions. What a great patient!
"Diesel" Cutler Diesel was adopted in April 2005. He was on death row at an animal shelter after being recovered by police in a drug raid. He growled so much at the shelter that the shelter workers were too afraid of him to do anything but slip food and water through the cage door. Diesel's new dad is the only person that could handle him. He was treated successfully for heartworm disease and is now healthy and happy (albeit still a little growly at times- dad insists he's just talking but Dr. Kate is cautious just the same!) Deisel can dance on his hind legs like a circus poodle and likes to play with a bowling ball. He's come a long way!
