Our Staff

Beth Maxwell, LVT

Beth Maxwell joined the Walker Valley Vet family as a receptionist in the summer of 2007.  After working in both human and veterinary health care she realized she wanted to further her education in the veterinary field. In the summer of 2013, she graduated from the Vet Tech program at SUNY-Ulster and became a licensed veterinary technician. Congratulations -- Beth is now our head LVT tech.

Beth grew up in Cornwall, NY and now lives in Wurtsboro with her daughter Emily and her own managerie of pets.  In her spare time Beth enjoys camping, “the lake,” and spending time with friends and family.

Susan Rain

Susan joined the Walker Valley Vet team in 2011 as our full-time receptionist.  She has been in the veterinary field for twenty years.  Susan resides in Kerhonkson with her husband, four dogs and two cats.  You might know her dog Noodles who comes to work daily.

Samantha Reinhardt

Samantha Reinhardt joined the Walker Valley Vet team in 2013 as an intern.  After completing her internship she stayed on as a part time veterinary technician.

Samantha grew up in Walker Valley and had always had a variety of animals, including large animals and exotics.  Samantha also works as a wildlife rehabilitator at an exotic animal sanctuary.  When she's not working she enjoys hiking and camping.

Lenore Lindemann

Lenore is our part-time receptionist.  She has had pets for most of her life and has always wanted to work in a veterinary hospital.  Lenore has been a veterinary receptionist for 20 years, working with Dr. Kate previously at a another hospital.  She volunteers at local shelters in her "spare" time and has rescued many pets of all shapes and sizes over the years.  Lenore lives with her husband and two teenage daughters.

Brian joined the Walker Valley Vet family in August of 2018. After starting college as a computer programmer, Brian realized that his true passion was working with animals. He is in his last semester at Ulster County Community College working towards his Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. He plans to sit for the boards in the spring of 2019 so he can add LVT to his name.

When not busy with school, work, and clinical, Brian enjoys practicing martial arts, graphic design, biking, philosophy, and social media networking. We are hoping that Brian's youth and tech savvy will help Walker Valley Vet to remain progressive in this ever evolving digital world. Although he describes himself of more of a dog person, we've noticed that cats really seem to respond to his calm demeanor and positive energy.

Noodles enjoys his job at Walker Valley Vet.  He is known to many as “The Mayor”.  Although his paycheck is as small as he is, he loves spending the days with his family and many friends.
