Q: How long does the cone stay on?

A: The cone has to stay on until your pets post-op appointment, unless told otherwise.

Q: When do my pets sutures need to come out?

A: Typically your pets suture removal will be scheduled between 10-14 days, unless told otherwise by your veterinarian

Q: Do I have to leash walk my dog post op?

A: Yes, unless stated otherwise

Q: When will my dog have a normal bowel movement?

A: Anesthesia can cause constipation. Your pet should go back to normal bowel movements within 48 hrs

Q: How do I keep my dog calm?

A: Crate rest is best if possible

Q: When can I go back to feeding my pet normally?

A: The night of surgery ½ of their normal meal. Day after surgery your pet can go back to their normal meal, unless stated otherwise

Q: What medication do I have to give my pet post-op?

A: Typically a pain medication and antibiotic is prescribed for post- op care for 10-14 days. Unless stated otherwise by your veterinarian

Q: Should I clean my pets incision site, if so what with?

A: Typically no you won't have to clean your pets incision. Unless stated otherwise by your veterinarian.
